MissionOS / App privacy

App privacy policy

What the MissionOS app does with your information. In short: it stays on your iPhone, and we never see it.

Last updated: 19 September 2026

About this policy

MissionOS is a product of VACUUM STATE LTD, company number 17461652, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. This policy covers the MissionOS app for iPhone and Apple Watch, including its widgets and its “Share to MissionOS” extension. The website has its own website privacy notice.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email privacy@getmissionos.co.uk.

The short version

What the app stores, and where

Your Mission, Priorities, Projects, Actions, Targets, routines, notes, reflections and any photos you attach are stored on your iPhone, in the app’s own storage. They are not sent to us or to anyone else.

If you use the Apple Watch app, the complications or the widgets, a small summary (your next Actions, today’s routines and your Mission Score) is passed directly from your iPhone to your own watch and widgets. It does not pass through any server of ours.

Apple Health

Connecting Apple Health is optional. If you connect it, MissionOS reads only the kinds of data you allow, for example steps, weight or sleep, so that it can show progress against Targets you have set, tick routines, and complete Actions you have linked to a measure.

MissionOS never writes to Apple Health. Health information stays on your iPhone: it is not sent to us, is not used for advertising, marketing or data mining, and is not shared with anyone. You can withdraw access at any time in the Health app or in iOS Settings.

mOS and Apple Intelligence

Suggestions, drafts made from your notes and photos, and text recognition all run on your iPhone, using Apple’s on-device model where your iPhone supports it. Nothing you write, scan or photograph is sent to us or to any outside AI service.

Camera, photos, files and location

MissionOS uses the camera, your photo library or a file only when you choose one: to attach a photo to an Action, or to draft a Project from a note. Text is read from the image on your iPhone. Anything you send with “Share to MissionOS” is kept on your iPhone until you draft from it or discard it.

If you tap “Use current location” on an Action, iOS gives MissionOS your position once and Apple’s mapping service turns it into a place name. MissionOS does not track your location and does not use it in the background.

Reminders, Siri and the Lock Screen

Reminders are local notifications planned on your iPhone from your plan; they do not pass through any server. Answers given through Siri and Shortcuts, and the Focus session shown on the Lock Screen, are produced on your iPhone.

MissionOS Plus

MissionOS Plus is bought through your Apple Account. Apple handles the payment under its own privacy policy; we receive no payment details and no information that identifies you. The app only learns from Apple whether Plus is active.

iCloud

If a later version offers iCloud backup and you turn it on, your plan will be saved in your own private iCloud storage, which only you can access. We cannot read it.

Your control over your information

If you contact us

If you email us about the app, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to send. We handle that correspondence, including how long we keep it, the providers involved and your rights, as described in the website privacy notice.

Your rights

VACUUM STATE LTD is the controller of any personal information you send us. Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of use or a portable copy of your information, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights have legal conditions and exceptions.

Contact privacy@getmissionos.co.uk to exercise a right or raise a complaint. We respond within the applicable statutory time limits, normally one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or call 0303 123 1113.

Children

MissionOS is not directed at children under 13, and the app collects no information from anyone.
